Dividend payment date, based upon payment date – datatype (PYD)

The date on which the dividend payment was made stored as a timeseries on the payment date. 

If at the time of announcement, the payment date is unknown then an estimated payment date is derived using the previous payment history, format MM/YY. The dividend will be loaded on the last weekday of the month. The estimated payment date will be overwritten once the confirmed payment date is announced. 

When two or more payments are ex-dividend on the same day, but with different payment dates, then this will be indicated by the output 'MULTI PD'. 

Dividend payment announcements are typically forward looking in nature, to ensure any future dividends are captured the request should have a future end date. 

Used in a static request the datatype will retrieve the latest dividend information relative to the request date. 

Dividend payment information is available in three formats: 
  • timeseries datatypes stored on the dividend ex-date
  • timeseries datatypes stored on the dividend payment date
  • composite static datatypes displaying a key set of dividend fields

An annualized dividend per share (DPS) timeseries is also derived using the underlying dividend payment information.
