Dividend type, based upon payment date – datatype (DT)

The dividend payment type stored as a timeseries on the payment date. 

Listed below are the possible dividend type values: 

CMB	Combination
CPG	Capital Gains
CPL	Long Term Capital Gains
CPS	Short Term Capital Gains
CPU	Undefined Capital Gains
FIN	Final
HYR	Half yearly
INT	Interim
MTH	Monthly
QTR	Quarterly
RST	Restricted dividend, not payable to all shareholders
SPL	Extraordinary/Special payment
UND	Undefined
YR	Yearly

Where two or more payments fall on the same day for a security and the dividend types are different then the dividend type will be CMB to indicate a combination of types. 

Dividend payment announcements are typically forward looking in nature, to ensure any future dividends are captured the request should have a future end date. 

Used in a static request the datatype will retrieve the latest dividend information relative to the request date. 

Dividend payment information is available in three formats: 
  • timeseries datatypes stored on the dividend ex-date
  • timeseries datatypes stored on the dividend payment date
  • composite static datatypes displaying a key set of dividend fields

An annualized dividend per share (DPS) timeseries is also derived using the underlying dividend payment information.
