Rolling 12 month dividend per share – datatype (DPS)

Rolling 12-month adjusted annualized Dividend Per Share timeseries, typically stored on the dividend announcement date.

DPS is calculated using dividend payments paid within the last 12 months.

For the US and Canada, the DPS reflects the 'indicated annual dividend' which is derived by multiplying the latest payment by the frequency of payment. A latest quarterly payment, for example, is multiplied by 4.

Special dividends are excluded from the DPS calculation.

Used in a static request the datatype will retrieve the latest dividend information relative to the request date.

DCUR displays the DPS currency in the form of the Datastream currency code, and DPCSD displays the period end date for the latest DPS value available.
