TYPE Instrument Type

The instrument type as assigned by Datastream, in the form of a mnemonic. TYPE is a mandatory classification and is assigned to all instruments.

Note, the RCS was added to Datastream coverage in 2013 hence the classification will not be available for any instruments delisted before this date.
