Segment MIC – datatype (SEGM)

 

The ISO Segment MIC Code, which identifies the trading segment within an exchange. The Segment Name is available using datatype SEGN

 

Segment MIC codes are used to identify specific trading segments within an exchange, for example main markets and growth markets.
Note, the creation of Segment MICs are requested by the exchange if it is deemed there is demand or need to identify a trading segment.

 

The Segment level identifiers can also be used with ‘parent’ identifiers Operating MIC (ISOMIC) and Operating Market Name (ISONAME).See example below.
